Happy day and Hello all our kinfolks. “It's That Time Again!”
My Dearest Family,
It’s Mr. Blinky here again, and IT’S THANKSGIVING FAMILY TIME!!! Are you ready for it???
Do you feel the excitement? Are you anticipating the cold clear nights, the snow flakes, that glorious, wonderful, loving family feeling??? Oh sorry, I’m coming down off another old fashioned Star Bucks coffee buzz!
But all kidding aside, it should be even more fun this year, because believe it or not, we are going to have “even more Christmas Lights this year than last” and we hope to have more organized and prepared productions and less fly by the seat of your pants.
Something every one can enjoy. We may still have some flexibility with the acts but last years were ALL spontaneous. If no one wants to rehearse their acts, perhaps we should just have movie nights instead with plenty of Hot chocolate, hot dogs and popcorn.
Something all can enjoy. Have a particular movie about Christmas or Thanksgiving you would like to see?? Send word to Uncle Danny. We will see what we can do about finding it..OR you may bring one with you. We have one movie night,
but if we don’t do a talent show, we could have two.
For those of you who will want to be singing Karaoke, please let me know if you have the song or if I need to get it for you.
I am hoping we have at least 5 people who have practiced and are prepared to go live.
We will have our own “Holley’s Got Talent.” I would like to call on our regular performers at least, to have a sketch or to sing a song, or maybe share some memorized cowboy poetry.
Will you think about it?? Please confirm as soon as possible. Please remember…Advance planning and rehearsal makes for wonderful performances, and some of my Tech takes time to prepare as well.
Think of all those past Thanksgiving performances, or the shows at Paw Paw’s, “ Earnest Holley Memorial Theater”.
How many of you have watched and listened and just wished so much that was you up there?? I know I used to when I was small. Well, here’s your chance to perform in a warm, loving and receptive atmosphere.
Knowing you will be appreciated and encouraged greatly. How about it? Will you do something for us??
We very badly need acts for the talent show that have been rehearsed a lot and are performance ready, in addition to all the spontaneous acts that will come that night.
Once again I ask you, can our old time regulars please perform for us again? Something rehearsed and ready? Maybe something they have done before, something we so enjoyed from the past?
Anyone who can prepare ahead of time, Please, Please. Share your talent with the family. Oh, and just because your name is not Holley now…don’t let that hold you back. All you Ringo’s, Hux’s and Barkers are invited too.
Do we have a scientist in the family? We got a fog machine to fog up the trail a little. Something we didn't have last year. Any one know how to make it fog away and last the night?? OOOOOH,, AaaaaaaH, fog in the woods…at night…on the farm!!!
Who can step up and help us make the location even more magical; remember we are making memories here! Memories for a Life time! Did that sound mellow-dramatic? Me,over the top? Never!
Also, I will be going up the Sunday before Thanksgiving this year to set up the lights / talent show, can anyone come up a few days earlier?
Okay, Let’s get to it.? We only have 2 1/2 more months to make it a once more in a lifetime event….Well, anyway, At least for this year!
